4. Conclusion

So far no invisible marking ink for trademark protection

or tracking and tracing purposes is available for textile

applications. Consequently, no detection device is

available for identication of invisible safety labeled

trademarks and has to be designed and developed.

Trademark protection is still performed in a complicated

and highly inexible and costly way by weaving a safety

thread into textiles or by sewing of a security label into

the textile, which can easily be removed or copied. The

state-of-the art in the participating countries/regions is

the same as worldwide.

The new security marking inkjet inks for textile

applications seem to be feasible and inkjet printing

of such smart inks are a radical enhancement of the

state-of the-art and a breakthrough in the highly exible

fabrication of new smart textile products with advanced

properties and higher performance in the demanded

quantities at reduced costs. Such signicant long-term

innovations will upgrade the traditional textile industry

and combat product-piracy.

Everlight Chemical have continued to develop digital

textile inks for the textile printing industry to meet

stringent customer colour fastness, printer performance

and environmental requirements.

Our Reactive inks, the Everjet RT Series and RT-E5 series,

introduced in 2009, are reactive inks suitable for cellulose,

silk and wool inkjet printing for both Epson Gen 4 and

Gen 5 print heads. The Everjet RT-E5 inks have been

widely accepted in the silk textile printing industry in

the Far East and Europe, particularly in the home of silk

printing, Italy. Our reactive inks deliver brilliant colors and

a wide colour gamut, with reliable performance, free from

print head clogging & banding, whilst satisfying the most

demanding environmental requirements.

Everjet AT-E5 series, our acid inks have been specially

developed for high light fastness performance on Nylon

and are suitable also for wool and silk fabrics, and

have been successfully used by our Italian customers.

New for launch at the FESPA 2013 exhibition in

London , we will be introducing our rst range of textile

pigment inks, initially for the DTG (direct to garment)

printing , which do not need pre-treatment and can

xed by simple heat treatment , producing prints with

excellent “handle”, crock ( rub) and wash fastness. The

important area of a white textile pigment ink solution

will also be available in the near future.

We are also in the bulk nal evaluation for new inks for

the industrial print heads, particularly the Ricoh Gen

5 print head and the recently introduced Fuji Dimatix

StarFire SG 1024-MA print head.

We are continuing our global commitment to the digital

textile printing industry and we will be launching ink

ranges for the Kyocera KJ4B and Seiko 508 GS print

heads in the near future.

Everlight Chemical received the awards of top 100

brands of Taiwan ,which was presented by the Ministry of

Economic Affairs (MOEA) of the Republic of China(ROC)

and was one of nine business ethics showcased to

be reported in the “Taiwan Corporate integrate story

collections”( published by industry Development Bureau,

Ministry of Economic Affair in 2011).
